Navajo Trend
I recently bought the Billanbong Still River Wrap in chocolate and have been crazy inspired by the surge of Navajo prints popping up everywhere since this summer. I just throw it over a white tee or a slouchy white tank with some distressed flared jeans and a bunch of my favorite jewelery. I'm loving these photos I picked out for inspiration, all the different colors, either in bright colors or earthier tones.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN
Hope everyone has a great slew of Halloween parties and treats! I know we will. My husband's birthday is November 3rd so we always have a costumed birthday party. Two birds with one fun stone! Have a spooktacular Halloween bash friends!
Nevermind- Vogue Paris November 2011
I'm so smitten with the Nevermind editorial featured in Vogue Paris' November 2011 issue. The cloudy beach, the fall sky, the bright colors and the Navajo inspired patterns, chunky knits. Even the model's beautiful beachy blond hair. Everything, perfect.

Born Free
So while I was looking for the source of this biker chic editorial, I found this instead. A totally gorgeous Native American/ 70's Biker Chic inspired editorial: Born Free in Vogue Germany March 2011. This is totally more my style. Like a boho 70's version of biker chic. Isn't it awesome? Makes me want to buy an old school bike and drive through the dessert.

Biker Chic
My husband got me watching Sons of Anarchy. I wasn't into it when he started watching it, mainly cause I had no idea what the fuck was going on. But now I'm excited every week when it's on. Lately I've found myself feeling inspired by their black leather clad hardcore look. Not that it's my personal style, but when I came across this chic biker editorial (that I can't find the source of for the life of me) I found myself drawn to it's leathery sexiness. Makes me want to badassify my long black hair.
How fun would a biker babe costume be for Halloween? A great excuse to live out your secret desire to be a chic biker chick for a day!

Sparkling Grafitti
Well, my parents went home yesterday. So sad, I already miss them. So back to the blog to keep me distracted from being depressed. I'm completely in awe with this post I saw over at because I'm addicted. How bananas are these sequins street art installations by Danish/Czech artist Theresa Himmer in Reykjavik, Iceland?
"I was interested in how these visual qualities also recall how landscapes respond to changes in wind and light. I moved from Denmark to Reykjavik in 2005 and the Series came as a response to my encounter with Icelandic nature and culture. In this context the sequins operate on dual levels. As they scintillate like water, ice or lava, they have an immediate visual and formal quality, which, in this framework, addresses the relationship between the natural and the artificial. Meanwhile, extracted from the commercial world, they serve as a critique of the increasing and disturbing commodification of Icelandic nature." - Theresa Himmer
You guys know how much I love sequins, or anything that sparkles for that matter, so this has me dreaming of doing this all over my house!!! Simply a-m-a-z-i-n-g.

Chevron in a Room
Omg I'm sorry for the lack of posts lately! My favorite people, my parents, are in town this week so we've been busy showing them around and doing all kinds of fun touristy kinda stuff. I'll try and not let it get in the way of posting ;).
Pretty little chevron, I love you. I started making some friendship bracelets to send home with my parents to give to my sister, and I started with a chevron pattern... I think it's one of my favs. It's a bold, graphic pattern that comes in every color EVER. How could you not love the punch it adds to any room...or outfit for that matter.
